Dolan Springs is the proposed initial location for the Center. It offers stillness, open land, proximity to major Southwestern population centers, and a community where access barriers are visible. The long-term opportunity is not simply to place a program in the desert, but to responsibly build a destination for restoration that can create employment, partnerships, visitation, purchasing, training, and new service capacity.

The vision

People are more than a diagnosis, an addiction, a crisis, or the worst chapter of their lives.
Healing can take many forms. The developing Wellspring Healing and Restoration Center is envisioned to address the spiritual, emotional, relational, practical, and physical dimensions of rebuilding a life. Our goal is not simply to interrupt destructive patterns, but to help people discover the strength, support, skills, and purpose needed to move forward sustainably.

Dolan Springs is more than a point on a map. Set within the vastness and stillness of the Mojave Desert, it possesses a character that is difficult to explain but immediately felt. Perhaps it is the elevation, the open sky, the quiet, or the ancient landscape. Whatever draws people here, there is something about this place that invites stillness, perspective, and renewal.
Dolan Springs stands at the gateway to nearly 40,000 acres of protected Joshua tree country, including the nationally recognized Grapevine Mesa forest, considered the finest existing display of Joshua trees in the United States.
For Wellspring’s founder, this is personal. Living with chronic pain and persistent headaches, he was drawn to the Mojave Desert seeking healing. In its warmth, steadier rhythms, quiet, and open space, he found greater room to be still, breathe, listen, invite God in, and begin rebuilding his own life.
The need is also deeply local. Dolan Springs is a community facing tremendous unmet needs, including the ways substance use can destabilize individuals, families, safety, relationships, and trust where qualified treatment and continuing support are difficult to reach. It is also a place with a remarkable capacity to become a refuge for healing and restoration.

Behind the Vision
The journey that led to Wellspring.
The Center grows from a lifetime shaped by treatment and family counseling, firsthand encounters with addiction and loss, disability, caregiving, service, and the search for healing. At a young age, Trevor entered a demanding financial-services interview process without the conventional education, securities credentials, or industry experience—and advanced through every stage to an unexpected final conversation in the president’s office. That early experience revealed the curiosity, resourcefulness, persistence, and drive that would continue throughout his career. In Dolan Springs, those experiences met an urgent rural need and began forming a Christ-centered calling to help individuals and families rediscover hope and renewed purpose.
The fuller journey is the story behind Starfish Float: a life of building, breaking, surrender, and the faith that brought seemingly separate experiences together as one calling.
